Building on Alive + Well NY’s commitment to youth development and community enrichment, INSPIRE is a specialized initiative designed to illuminate diverse career pathways for students as they prepare for life after high school. The program focuses on delivering engaging, high-quality content—through photography, video, podcasts, and live events—that informs and inspires young people to explore their interests and pursue fulfilling career options. By bridging the gap between education and employment, INSPIRE equips the next generation with knowledge, practical skills, and real-world insights, encouraging them to envision and realize a future aligned with their passions and talents.

Meet Our Performers
Tess Klibanoff – Mezzo-Soprano
Tess is a singing actress, stage director, choreographer, and burlesque artist under the stage name of Paris Euphoria. She incorporates elements of dance and body awareness into all of her work. As a singer, she recently premiered several roles, including Camille Claudel in Nathan Felix’s The Thinker and Sarah Ann Bowen in William Call’s Ruth: A Girl from New York. In the summer of 2024 she made her company debut singing Hortensius in Opera Company of Middlebury's La Fille du Régiment while working as a young artist. After making her company debut in 2023 as Morozova in Tchaikovsky's Undina with Queen City Opera, she returned to sing the Third Lady in their Mozart: Super Flute production. Other roles in her repertory include the title role in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, the title role in Handel’s Agrippina, Mère Marie in Poulenc's Les Dialogues des Carmélites, Ruth in Gregory Spears’s The Righteous, and Dritte Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. As a choreographer, Tess teaches six classes weekly to various age groups and styles at the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven. As a director, her recent credits include Handel’s Rinaldo and Bach’s Coffee Cantata. This June, Tess is stage directing Modern Vintage Opera’s double bill of Mozart’s lesser-known one act of Bastien und Bastienne and Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana. She just wrapped up assistant directing with Ben Spierman in Bronx Opera’s production of Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel and singing in her first concert with Marshall Opera for their annual Opera Oral History project, where she premiered an aria from Benjamin Yarmolinsky’s opera The Trial of Anna. Tess is thrilled to perform a night of cabaret and opera at the fundraiser for Alive and Well in her hometown of Rochester, NY.
Alejandro Roca – Pianist
Opera coach and conductor Alejandro Roca’s recent engagements include performances of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro at Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, new productions with the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville and Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, and debuts with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Cláudio Santoro National Theater in Brazil. Roca has collaborated with such renowned conductors as Rinaldo Alessandrini, Gustavo Dudamel, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Josep Caballé Domenech, and Daniella Candillari. Roca has appeared in recital with numerous vocalists around the world and has recorded music by several Latin American composers. Roca has served as a conductor and pianist at the Opera of Colombia and his repertoire includes more than 75 fully prepared operas and zarzuelas.
Roca serves as Lecturer in Music/Opera Coach at the Yale School of Music and has recently been appointed Artistic Director of the Opera Company of Middlebury Young Artists Program. He previously served as director of the Opera Workshop at Central University, in Bogotá, Music director at Scuola Italia and Opera Viva summer programs and has served as Director of the Cartagena International Music Festival’s academic program
